THE RIVIERA DEL SOL AREA

Rivera del Sol is situated next to the popular area of Calahonda just half an hours drive from Malaga Airport, and just a short drive west along the coast is Puerto Cabopino, Marbella and Puerto Banus.

To the East is Fuengirolla, Mijas and Coin. Both Calahonda and Riviera have their own commercial centres, which have shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.

RIVERA- At the bottom of Riviera there is a park, several restaurants, bars and shops including a large supermarket and an Opencor supermarket, which is a 24hr x 7 day pw. Across the road (beachside) are several other restaurants and a beach with beach cafe.

The Aztec Country Club is a short walk from the commercial centre which provides an Olympic sized swimming pool, tennis, badminton, gym, games room and internet centre, as well as food and entertainment.

There is a second commercial centre at Terrazas del Golf with bars and restaurants which overlook the Miraflores Golf Course.

Riviera del Sol has its an 18 hole golf course - Miraflores golf which has a driving range and golf academy. There is a large clubhouse with restaurant etc and there is another restaurant belonging to the course in the Terrazas del Golf commercial centre


 


Calahonda is situated next to Riviera del Sol  

CALAHONDA - El Zoko is the main commercial centre in Calahonda, there is a large supermarket, shops and bars, and up the stairs in the centre of the El Zoko complex is a large area set out as a courtyard around which are numerous bars and restaurants, most with places to eat outside in the courtyard. A very pleasant place to visit on a warm summer evening.

A new shopping centre opened this year, with another supermarket, shops, banks and ample parking.

Calahonda has its own 9 hole golf course, and club house - La Siesta. There is also a golf driving range.



Puerto Cabopino is a short drive west of Calahonda and Riviera Del Sol, and can be reached by walking along the beach from Calahonda  

PUERTO CABOPINO - Serveral well known restaurants are situated around the small harbour of Puerto Cabopino, including Albert's. It is in this area just a few minutes along the coast from Calahonda that you can find the best local beach. As well as the restaurants around the port, there are good beach bars/cafes that lead directly onto the beach.
